At my office our boss bought this really cool music system that can connect to the internet, and we can connect to it through our network to add our own CD's. There are about 10 people that work in our office, and we all get a half a day to pick what we want to listen to. The Speakers go throughout the office. Every day we get to hear someone else's music taste.
I usually select my Pandora account through the internet to play when it is my day. On Pandora you select an artist, and it will pick other artist that are like that one and play the ones it thinks you will like. You can create this quickmix playlist where you can select these different stations that you created and it randomly selects music from one of the stations. I have a wide variety of music in my quickmix. Music from the 40's, 50's, 60's, 70's, 80's, Christian, hip hop, and today's pop. The best thing is that it randomly selects from any of those, so one minute you will be listening to hip hop, then a Christian song will come on. It's pretty cool.
The only down fall is the day that one of the lady's in here picks. She created a pandora station too, but her quickmix if full of music from Kenny G, Michael Bolton, and Celine Dion!!!! Shoot me now!! Talk about put you to sleep. There is also another guy that always picks elevator music. So normally on those days I simply plug in my earphones into my computer and play my own Pandora station. Well guess what today is, today is the day for the elevator music, and guess what I did, I FORGOT MY EARPHONES AT HOME!!! CRAP!! So I'm counting down to 12:00 for when the station gets changed to someone else's (who's music I like), and trying desperately to stay awake.

Hahaha! Well, we currently get to listen to our OWN stuff in our OWN offices, but we're soon moving to a new building where we'll have four people in a large room. So... I'm concerned. I like TALK radio! So if we did it that way, I'd be either pumping up some conservatives or ticking off some liberals w/ my radio picks! :) Good luck staying awake for the next hour & six minutes!
P.S. Does this mean you were playing NKOTB yesterday for your ENTIRE office?! Someone might have been wanting to shoot you! I, however, may have wanted to bust a move!
HAHA, Actually yesterday was the lady who plays Kenny G. SO I was happily listening on my computer with my ear phones. Doing a little dance in my chair!!
I like Michael Bolton and Celine Dion, but I don't think I'd put them on my mix. I love Kenny G, though. And Yanni. And Josh Groban. But I like other stuff, too: Third Day and similar Christian artists, oldies, classic rock, and 80s music - especially the hair bands. I even like a little country now and then. And some blues. Just no hip hop. :o)
Lately I've been listening to a mix CD of Norah Jones, Colbie Caillat, Sarah Bareilles, and Bonnie Raitt. Mellow.
HAHA, Sorry Ashley!! She does have Josh Groban in her quickmix too. I also have bluegrass in mine.
